DRIVE Electric Arizona Engages Thousands at the Fountain Festival of Arts & Crafts
During the 2026 Fountain Festival of Arts & Crafts in Fountain Hills, DRIVE Electric Arizona and the Valley of the Sun Electric Vehicle Association made a powerful impact alongside our sponsor, Salt River Project (SRP).
While festivalgoers explored art, music, and local vendors, our EV display became a hub of curiosity, education, and meaningful dialogue about electric transportation. With just three volunteer-owned electric vehicles on display each day, our team delivered an extraordinary level of community engagement.
Over the course of the event, volunteers conducted more than 3,600 direct conversations with attendees.
That number is staggering.
For a display powered entirely by volunteers and featuring only three vehicles per day, the depth and volume of engagement speaks volumes about both public interest in EVs and the dedication of our team. Conversations ranged from basic EV 101 questions to detailed discussions about charging infrastructure, battery longevity, cost savings, road trips, incentives, and real-world ownership experiences here in Arizona.
This is what grassroots EV education looks like.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of Salt River Project (SRP), whose partnership allows us to bring accurate, trusted information directly to the community. Their commitment to electrification and customer education aligns perfectly with our mission to accelerate EV adoption statewide.
And most importantly — a HUGE SHOUT OUT to our volunteers.
Spending full days on your feet, answering question after question, sharing personal ownership stories, and representing the EV community with professionalism and enthusiasm is no small task. Your passion is what makes these events successful. You turned casual festival foot traffic into informed, empowered future EV drivers.
Three vehicles.
A dedicated volunteer team.
3,600+ meaningful conversations.
That is impact.
We are incredibly proud of what was accomplished at the Fountain Festival and look forward to continuing to bring EV education directly to Arizona communities across the state.
